[PHOTOS] REHOBOTH FA BOYS COMPLETE LIGHT RECOVERY SESSION AT OLUYEMI KAYODE STADIUM AHEAD OF NLO DIVISION TWO OPENER AGAINST HOMMYDAYS FC

Following their successful arrival in Ado-Ekiti on Sunday afternoon, the players and coaching crew of Rehoboth Sports Academy stepped onto the artificial turf of the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium for an evening light recovery and pitch-familiarization session.

The evening session was designed by the technical crew to help the U-19 squad shake off travel fatigue, adapt to the stadium turf, and finalize tactical routines ahead of their 2026 NLO Division Two U-19 Youth League opening match against Hommydays FC, scheduled for Monday, August 24, at 12:00 PM.

Tactical Preparation and Turf Adaptation

Under the supervision of the head coach and technical staff, the team engaged in warm-up routines, light ball work, position drills, and set-piece simulations. Having a feel of the 10,000-capacity arena provided the young lads with familiarization with the pitch dimensions and bounce ahead of game time.

Rehoboth FA enter the stadium-based tournament format—adopted by the Nationwide LeagueOne management to ensure high-standard competitive football—rested and focused, having been on a bye during Matchday 1.

Technical Staff Reaction

Speaking to the academy’s media team immediately after the session at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, the Team Manager said:

“The boys responded excellently to the movement and turf session this evening. Arriving early gave us the buffer needed to settle in, adjust to the climate here in Ado-Ekiti, and get our minds fully dialed into the task ahead. We respect Hommydays FC, we’re from the same place and we are familiar with them, but our target for Monday afternoon is to execute our game plan with discipline, high intensity, and maximum concentration.”
